MANILA, Philippines — The operations of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) temporarily stopped due to a power supply problem, causing delays in trips and long lines of commuters during the morning rush hour yesterday.
The rail line’s overhead catenary system broke down at the Cubao station at around 8:29 a.m, the MRT-3 management said.
Passengers complained that they were stuck inside the train with no airconditioning system.
Officials of the MRT-3 apologized for the inconvenience caused by the glitch.
