‘Robber’ slain in Bulacan shootout

BULACAN, Philippines — A suspected robber was killed following an alleged shootout with police officers in Meycauayan, Bulacan yesterday.

Darwin Nacilla was apprehended at a checkpoint after he reportedly took a motorcycle in Barangay Perez at around 12:25 a.m., according to Bulacan police director Col. Emma Libunao.

“The officers flagged down the motorcycle but the suspect drew a gun, triggering a shootout,” Libunao said.

Probers recovered a .38 caliber revolver, a plastic sachet containing shabu and drug paraphernalia.
