3 gunned down in La Union store

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — Three persons were killed in a gun attack at a store in Barangay Catbegan, San Fernando City, La Union on Friday. 

Police identified the fatalities as store owner Kareena Mirchandani, accountant Heidi delos Reyes and security guard Ferdinand Gacayan.

Lt. Col. Percival Pineda, city police chief, said unidentified men barged into Shania Kenny Merchandise store at around 6 p.m. and opened fire.

The assailants fled on a motorcycle.

Pineda said Mirchandani’s husband survived an assassination attempt in 2016.
