31 women rescued from Makati bar

Ghio Ong - The Philippine Star

MAKATI, Philippines — Thirty-one women were rescued from a bar that allegedly operated as a prostitution den in Makati City on Wednesday night.

The women were “dancing without clothes” at the Feelmore Ihaw-Ihaw Atbp. bar and restaurant along Filmore street in Barangay Palanan, according to a police report.

Police arrested 15 employees, 21 Filipino and three Indonesian customers during the raid.

The bar’s employees allegedly carried expired work and health permits while the establishment was running with an expired business permit, police said.

The city police raided at least four establishments serving as sex dens this month: one in the Makati Palace Hotel in Barangay Bel-Air and two more – another bar and a dormitory-type house – in Barangay Palanan.
