2 Bukidnon village execs gunned down

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — Two barangay councilmen were shot dead in Bukidnon on Monday.

Police said Loreno Pedyaan and Mauricio Guinto, residents of Barangay Dominorog in Talakag town, were about to enter the barangay hall when they were shot at close range.

Pedyaan died at the scene. Guinto  was declared dead on arrival at the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital.

S/Sgt. Ismael Balbutin said they have a list of persons of interest in the killing, but refused to give details pending further investigation.
