1 killed in Laguna shooting

LAGUNA, Philippines — A tattoo artist was killed while  his companion was injured in a shooting incident in Mabitac, Laguna yesterday.

Harris Castro, 34, was declared dead on arrival in a hospital due to a gunshot wound in the back. His companion, identified as Nino Noe, 34, was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The victims were on a motorcycle when Joey Jamolin, who was on another motorcycle, reportedly shot them at around 1:15 a.m. in Barangay Libis na Nayon.

Probers have yet to determine the motive for the attack.

Meanwhile, in Cavite, Anthony Bombo was walking home in Barangay Sampaloc IV, Dasmariñas when an unidentified man shot him.

Bombo was rushed to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound in the body. He told probers he could not think of any motive behind the attempt on his life.
