12 BIFF bandits surrender in Maguindanao

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Twelve members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters surrendered in Maguindanao on Monday.

Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, Western Mindanao Command chief, said the suspects, all with the group of Esmael Abubakar, alias Bungos, yielded to the 33rd Infantry Battalion in Sultan sa Barongis town. 

Sobejana said three caliber .50 rifles, an M203 grenade launcher, an M79, a rocket-propelled grenade, a 5.56 mm rifle, a caliber .30, three  M14s and three improvised explosive devices were among those surrendered by the bandits.
