Ambulance falls into ravine; 2 dead, 3 hurt

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Two persons died and three others were injured when an ambulance fell into a ravine in Sitio Doddo, Barangay Talubin, Bontoc, Mountain Province yesterday. 

Police said Earole Kurt Akiate, 21, and ambulance driver Franklin Angawa died at the scene. 

Rexton Duyapat, 20; social worker Nelda Joy Tapyugon, 23, and nursing attendant Anabelle Attang, 32, were taken to hospitals for treatment.

The victims came from the Luis Hora Regional Memorial Hospital in Bauco, Mountain Province and were on their way to the Hungduan Municipal Hospital in Ifugao when the accident occurred.
