P.1 million party drugs seized in Parañaque
PARAÑAQUE, Philippines — Party drugs valued at P120,000 were confiscated by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives in a series of stings in Parañaque City on Thursday.
Giancarlo Evora Reyes, 24, was caught in a drug bust at a house in BF Heva Homes at around 8:20 p.m.
PDEA agents seized from Reyes seven bottles of liquid ecstasy, valued at P35,000; 10 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, P60,000; 100 tablets of the anti-anxiety drug Valium (generic name diazepam), P5,000; drug paraphernalia and marked money.
Nearly three hours later, Vincent Michael Go Bon, 35, and Ma. Karina Esperanza, 22, were arrested in a sting in Barangay San Isidro. Operatives seized P20,000 worth of liquid ecstasy from the suspects.
PDEA said the drugs were being sold to millenials, celebrities and “party people.”
In Pasay, three members of a family were arrested in a sting in their house in Barangay 187 at around 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
Police said 37.8 grams of shabu valued at P250,000 were seized from Amelia Sioson, 70; Ricardo Cecilio, 59, and Richelle Cecilio, 32.
All three are on the city’s drug watchlist, police said.
The suspect face charges of violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
