4 Bacolod jail escapees surrender

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Four inmates who escaped from a police jail in this city on Monday have surrendered.

Sunny Capa, Ely Lawrence Sazon and Michael Peñoso, who were detained on drug charges, surrendered on Tuesday.

Jeffrey Gelongos, who is facing charges for violation of the Child Abuse Act, surrendered yesterday.

The inmates escaped after cutting an iron bar with a saw blade.

Police officers on duty S/Sgt. Eric Olverio and desk officer Cpl. Orwayne Jade Nadado were charged with four counts of infidelity in the custody of prisoners over the jailbreak.
