Drug suspect slain in Bulacan; P6.7 million marijuana destroyed

MALOLOS BULACAN, Philippines —  A drug suspect was killed in a sting in Meycauayan City yesterday.

Christian Encabo, alias Balawis, drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu to undercover agents in Barangay Malhacan, according to Col. Emma Libunao, acting Bulacan police director.

Ten sachets of shabu, a .38-caliber revolver and marked money were reportedly recovered from the fatality.

In San Jose del Monte City, 11 sachets of shabu were recovered from two drug suspects on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, fully grown marijuana plants, seedlings and dried stalks seized from plantations in Barangay Tacadang in Kibungan Benguet and Danac, Sugpon, Ilocos Sur on Friday were burned yesterday. 

In Cagayan,  Inocencio Aquino, 46, councilman of Barangay Centro 4, said to be a ”high-value” drug suspect, was arrested in Barangay Tanza, Tuguegarao City on Tuesday.
