6 dead in Calabarzon gun attacks

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Six persons were killed in gun attacks in Calabarzon in the past two days.

Police said Junly Burac and Ronald Amog were shot in Barangays Sampaloc 4 and Sta. Lucena, respectively, in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

Jaymar Marquez was selling snacks near a construction site in Barangay Sabang, Naic, also in Cavite, when he was shot.

The other fatalities were identified as Edwin Trivino, Vic Ampuan and Mark Ivan Reyes. They were waylaid in Barangay Calubcub, San Juan, Batangas; Inarawan, Antipolo City, Rizal, and Barangay 1, Lucena City, Quezon, respectively.

Probers have yet to identify the assailants and motives for the killings.
