Makati fire victims get assistance

MANILA,Philippines — The Makati City government gave relief goods and supplies to around 170 families left homeless by a fire in Barangay San Isidro on Friday.

In a statement, Mayor Abby Binay said assistance will continue to be given to the families, who are being sheltered in tents at the barangay’s covered court.

An eight-year-old boy was injured in the fire, which lasted two hours and reached fourth alarm.
