Bus driver, conductor beat up MMDA employee

MANILA, Philippines — A sidewalk clearing operations group employee of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) was beaten up by a bus driver and conductor along EDSA yesterday morning.

MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialago said their employee, Arvin Gabay, sustained head injuries.

Driver Harold Reyes and conductor Rolly Sambayon attacked Gabay after he called their attention for overstaying in the loading and unloading area at EDSA-Ortigas, Pialago said.

They will face charges of direct assault and driving without a license.
