Fire hits noodle factory in Quezon City

QUEZON CITY , Philippines — A fire broke out at a noodle factory in Barangay Balonbato, Quezon City before dawn yesterday.

Arson probers said the blaze razed the two-story building owned by the Uni-Luck Food Products along Nipas Avenue at around 2:56 a.m.

The fire reached the second alarm before it was put out at past 4 a.m.

Authorities said the fire started at the “pugon” or furnace area of the building.

No injuries or casualties were reported. Damage to property was estimated at P30,000. 

Arson investigators said they have yet to determine what caused the fire.
