Drug suspect found dead

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — An alleged drug pusher was found dead in a sugarcane field in Barangay 13, Victorias City, Negros Occidental yesterday.

The body of Roger Hellacone, 18, bore gunshot wounds in the head and neck.

Capt. Wilfredo Benoman, EB Magalona police chief, said three men wearing masks snatched Hellacone from a computer shop in Purok Masagana, Barangay Tanza in EB Magalona town and dragged him into a Mitsubishi Strada.

Probers are verifying reports that the killing was drug-related.

Hellacone allegedly served as a courier of the Divinagracia drug ring. However, police said he was not on the drug watchlist of either EB Magalona or Victorias City.
