BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — A suspected drug pusher was gunned down by unidentified motorcycle-riding men in Sitio Kagaykay, Barangay 2 in this city on Monday night.

Police said Paul Masicampo, who was on the drug watchlist, died at the scene. His companion, a certain Tintin Tipon, was wounded and is being treated at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Hospital.

Maj. Sherlock Gabana, Bacolod City police station 2 commander, said illegal drugs could be the motive for the killing, citing reports that Masicampo failed to settle his debts with his supplier.

In Ilocos Sur, Xandrex Albay, 32, and Jimmy Beninsig, 22, said to be drug dealers based in Tondo, Manila, were arrested in Barangay del Pilar, Tagudin on Monday for alleged possession of  100 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P650,000.
