DA warns consumers vs unregistered liniment

MANILA, Philippines — The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned the public to refrain from purchasing and using an unregistered liniment.

In an advisory, the FDA said Body Luxe Liniment may pose danger to consumers if administered.

The agency said the product has not undergone testing process. The liniment has not been given certificate of registration by the FDA.

“So the FDA cannot guarantee its quality and safety,” the agency said.

The FDA prohibits the manufacture, importation, exportation, sale, distribution and advertising of health products without proper registration.

Sanctions will be imposed on commercial establishments distributing the violative product, according to the FDA.
