Man survives shooting by partner’s ex-lover
MANILA, Philippines — A man cheated death after he was shot by the former lover of his partner in Taguig City over the weekend.
Norvie Gonzaga, 27, a tricycle driver, was declared in stable condition at the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital where he was rushed for treatment of a gunshot to the body.
According to a police report, Gonzaga and his partner, Raquel Vito, were sleeping when the suspect, known only as Syano, broke into their house along Manuel Quezon street in Barangay Wawa.
Armed with a .38-caliber handgun, the suspect allegedly fired at Gonzaga then fled.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect.
Gonzaga told probers that the suspect had threatened to kill him after Vito left him.
