Laborer gunned down in Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines — A construction worker was shot dead by two persons who barged into his house in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City on Friday morning.

Jerson Poliquit, 31, was sleeping beside his partner, Marivic Manosa, when Rodel Vinzon and Queen Cindy Florez allegedly entered his house and shot him several times in the head before escaping, according to a police report.

Poliquit was declared dead on arrival at the Ospital ng Parañaque.

Recovered from the crime scene were three .22 caliber bullet casings, police said, adding that the motive for the murder has yet to be established.
