Some BBB programs not feasible – adviser
MANILA, Philippines — Some of the government’s 75 flagship infrastructure projects were found to be not attainable by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), according to a presidential adviser.
Vince Dizon, presidential adviser on flagship projects and programs, said the initial list of Build Build Build projects will be reviewed and revisited per the decision reached by concerned agencies and NEDA in a meeting last Sept. 17.
“Different agencies decided to revisit the list released by NEDA. The study conducted by NEDA and different agencies showed that some of the listed projects are not feasible at this time,” Dizon told “The Chiefs” aired on Cignal TV’s One News on Wednesday night.
The Department of Public Works and Highways recently said that the government was halfway done with the Build Build Build program after constructing more than 9,000 kilometers of road; 2,000 bridges and 4,000 flood control projects and thousands of other projects.
Dizon, former Bases and Conversion Development Authority chief, said the list of projects would be rationalized.
“It is possible that more will be added because there are some projects that are not included in the list,” the presidential adviser added.
