4 drug suspects killed

MANILA, Philippines — Four persons were killed in anti-drug operations in Bulacan and Pampanga in the past two days.

Col. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, said Roy Manabat, alias Pot-pot, Edward Liban and Teodorico Perez shot it out with police officers in Barangay Corazon, Calumpit; San Martin 4, San Jose del Monte and Pinagtulayan, Norzagaray, respectively.

Bersaluna said 35 sachets of shabu, two .38-caliber revolvers, a .22-caliber revolver, drug paraphernalia and marked money were recovered from the fatalities.

He said 19 other drug suspects were arrested simultaneous drug busts in the province.

In Pampanga, police said Bernarde Parico, kagawad of Barangay Betis, Guagua, drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu to undercover agents. – Ric Sapnu
