Man kills daughter in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A woman was allegedly shot dead by her father in Barangay Punta I, Tanza, Cavite on Monday.

The victim was identified as Mariel Imatong, 42. Police said the victim could have been dead for around 10 hours when her body, which bore multiple gunshot wounds, was discovered.

Prior to the incident, the neighbors of the Imatongs said they heard the victim and her father Tito, 65, quarreling.

Probers said the suspect was arrested in a follow-up operation.
