2 slain in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two persons were shot dead in Cavite over the weekend.

Frederick Layos was found with a gunshot to the head in Barangay Mabuhay, Carmona on Saturday morning.

On the same day, Enrique Eugenio was hauling sand in front of their house in Tanza when he was shot at close range. He died at the scene.

Meanwhile, in Palawan, two men were found dead in Puerto Princesa City before dawn yesterday.

The bodies of Henry Gazo Jr. and Ivan Ombion were found at around 5:45 a.m. in a tricycle in Barangay Sta. Monica.

Both victims sustained lacerations in the neck and their hands and feet were tied with a nylon cord, according to Lt. Col. Socrates Faltado, spokesperson for the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) police.
