MANILA, Philippines — Two Filipinos were arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) yesterday for allegedly carrying handguns in their luggage.

Leandro Gatdula was bound for Incheon, South Korea when Office of Transportation Security (OTS) personnel at NAIA Terminal 1 found a .22 caliber pistol, six bullets and a magazine in his bags.

Jason Tobias, 34, was about to board his flight for Dubai when OTS examiners found a .22 caliber Black Widow revolver in his luggage.

Gatdula and Tobias were brought to the police Aviation Security Group office for further investigation. They face charges of violating Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
