3 foreigners held over fake papers

Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) arrested two Chinese and an Indian at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) last week after they allegedly used spurious travel papers, an official said yesterday.

Huang Chenghua, 49, reportedly presented a fake Mexican passport with a Canadian visa and a fake Mexican voter’s identification card before boarding a flight for Toronto, BI Commissioner Jaime Morente said.

The Indian, identified only as Mahipal, 25, was about to board a flight for Toronto when he was accosted for allegedly using a fake Canadian visa on his passport.

Wang Wenjiang, 24, allegedly used a passport stolen from Xu Shao Hong as he was about to board a flight for Jakarta.
