Truck driver shot dead in Muntinlupa

MANILA, Philippines — A truck driver was gunned down by motorcycle-riding assailants in Muntinlupa City yesterday.

Donney Arcega Asuncion, 39, died while being treated at the Medical Center Muntinlupa from several gunshot wounds.

Asuncion was in a car waiting for his cousin in front of a store in Soldiers’ Hills Subdivision, Barangay Putatan when the assailants shot him at close range at around 7:15 a.m., police said.

The assailants then sped off towards Habitat Ville, also in the subdivision.

Asuncion’s cousin and a neighbor rushed him to the hospital.
