Road clearing operations in Muntinlupa continue

MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Muntinlupa continued its road clearing operations less than a month before the deadline set by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ends.

Personnel of the Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau nabbed 906 illegal vendors and impounded 763 illegally parked vehicles as of Aug. 23.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi has warned protectors of street vendors not to interfere in road clearing operations.

Last July, the DILG gave mayors 60 days to clear public roads of obstructions.
