Man drowns in Ilocos Sur dam

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — A man believed to be drunk drowned while swimming in a water reservoir in Barangay Lussoc, Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur on Friday.

Harvey Salvado died while being treated at the Magsingal District Hospital.

Police said Salvado was drinking liquor with his friends when he decided to take dip, but failed to surface.

Two other men drowned when they went swimming after a drinking spree in Gattaran and Buguey, both in Cagayan, last week.
