780 passengers unloaded after MRT-3 glitch

MANILA, Philippines — Around 780 passengers were unloaded at the Metro Rail Transit Line 3’s Ayala station after a train developed a motor problem yesterday afternoon.

The Department of Transportation said in a statement that the motor had an electrical failure at around 1 p.m., likely caused by worn-out electrical subcomponents.
