Biker dies in Cagayan mishap

TUGUEGARAO, Philippines — A 38-year-old man died after his motorcycle slammed into a waiting shed in Alcala, Cagayan on Saturday.

Melvin Sadron was on his way home from a drinking spree when he figured in the accident at around 7 p.m in Barangay Tupang.

Sadron was declared dead on arrival at the Alcala Municipal Hospital.

Meanwhile, Raymundo Paleg, 62, was driving a tricycle with his grandson on board when they were hit by an ambulance in Barangay Caggay in this city at around 12:15 p.m.

M/Sgt. Randel Lamud said the ambulance, driven by Delfin Cajucom, 26, was responding to an emergency call.

Paleg and his grandson were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries.

Cajucom was taken to the police station for questioning.
