P.7-million shabu seized in Taguig sting

MANILA, Philippines — Police seized nearly P700,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in a drug bust in Taguig City on Friday.

A total of 100 grams of shabu with a street value of P680,000 were seized from Roda Gunda, 43, and Sumandal Gunda, 52, in a sting staged at the parking area of a mall in Western Bicutan.

Raymart Buenaventura, Percival Buenaventura, Ernesto Valle, Philip Ongsitco, Mary Jane Bourlaos and Melchor Castro Jr. were arrested in separate stings in Navotas yesterday.

At least 15 more persons were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Quezon City since Friday. – Marc Jayson Cayabyab, Romina Cabrera
