Cop drowns during training

MANILA, Philippines — A police officer drowned during training at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) compound in Bicutan yesterday. 

The body of Cpl. Adonis Serrano, 28, was recovered from the NCRPO swimming pool at past noon.

Serrano was part of a group of officers who were taking a course on basic internal security operations.

His companions noticed that one of them was missing and started looking for him.

Serrano was last assigned at the Marikina police station.
