Runners join AFP fundraiser
MANILA, Philippines — Around 400 runners joined a fun run organized by the Civil Relations Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CRSAFP) for the benefit of an orphanage in Parañaque on Saturday.
Maj. Louzel Lara, group commander and station manager of the military’s Media and Civil Affairs Group, said uniformed personnel and civilians joined the event held at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
Among the participants were members of the AFP, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection and civilians.
Lara said proceeds of the fun run would go to the beneficiaries of St. Rita Orphanage.
AFP Vice Chief of Staff Vice Adm. Gaudencio Collado Jr. was the guest of honor.
Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Erick Gloria, CRSAFP commander Maj. Gen. Bienvenido Datuin Jr. and other AFP officials also attended the event.
