4 drug suspects slain; P6.4-M shabu seized
MANILA, Philippines — Three drug suspects were killed in stings while another was shot dead by unidentified men in Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan and La Union in the past two days.
Melchor Anarcon and Jomar de Guzman shot it out with police officers in Barangay Sto. Niño, San Jose City and Calos, Peñaranda, respectively, in Nueva Ecija, reports reaching Camp Olivas showed.
Police said Clark Nardo also engaged anti-narcotics agents in a shotoout in Barangay Alac, San Quintin, Pangasinan.
In La Union, Dexter Lopez, 27, who is facing charges for illegal drugs, was having a drinking spree with his relatives when he was shot by unidentified men when he went out to buy cigarettes.
Meanwhile, six persons arrested in drug busts in Barangays Alijis and Banago in Bacolod City reportedly yielded 45 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P5.2 million and 100 grams valued at P1.2 million, respectively.
