Taguig judge loses ?P.3 M in gym

MANILA, Philippines — A Taguig judge lost over P300,000 in cash and other valuables in a gym in Pasay City on Tuesday.

Police said Judge Bernard Pineda, 41, of the Taguig City Regional Trial Court Branch 74, was robbed of P40,000 cash, a diamond ring worth P275,000, a wallet worth P18,000 as well as credit cards, driver’s license and his Integrated Bar of the Philippines card.

Pineda said he kept the items in the gym’s locker.

He said he discovered that the locker was open and his valuables were missing after he finished his workout at past 5 p.m.

Probers said they were investigating the incident to determine if it was an inside job.
