Weekend road repairs set
MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) closed sections of several roads last night for the three-day road repairs of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
In its advisory, the MMDA said the first southbound lane on EDSA in front of Guzent Construction Equipment Sales and Rental to Culiat Bridge and the outer southbound lane on EDSA Magallanes-Baclaran bus stop to Magallanes-Alabang bus stop were closed.
The southbound lane along EDSA-Eugenio Lopez to Scout Borromeo was also impassable due to desilting and the construction of a manhole while the southbound lane on EDSA in between West Avenue and PhilAm Village in Quezon City was closed for “concreting works.”
The second southbound lane from the sidewalk along Katipunan Avenue shortly after P. Tuazon Boulevard was also closed to traffic along with EDSA’s second northbound lane from the sidewalk after Aurora Boulevard, according to the MMDA.
The second northbound lane on Regalado Avenue and Mindanao Avenue to Quirino Highway were also closed to traffic.
The MMDA said the second westbound lane along Quirino Highway, from Kingfisher street to Primerose street, and General Luis street, from Pascual street to Oriental Tin, were also closed to motorists.
Both northbound and southbound lanes along C5 Road in front of SM Aura were also closed to traffic.
The MMDA urged motorists to look for alternate routes as affected roads will remain closed until 5 a.m. Monday.
