2 dead in North Cotabato road mishap

NORTH COTABATO, Philippines — Two persons died and 26 others were injured when a truck rolled over along the Cotabato-Davao Highway in Nalapaan, Pikit in this province on Tuesday.

Lt. Col. Aldrin Gonzalez, Soccsksargen police spokesman, identified the fatalities as Akraman Aluyudan, 43, and Huyaan Mamir, 27.

The driver of the truck, Esmael Tambag, 43, told police he lost control of the wheel when he tried to avoid a tricycle in the opposite lane while overtaking a motorcycle.
