Vintage bomb found in Tondo river

MANILA, Philippines — Children swimming in a river in Tondo, Manila found a vintage bomb on Sunday afternoon.

Cyrus Supremo, 13, was looking for recyclable items and metal scraps when he stepped on the bomb in the Maralla River at around 5 p.m., said Lt. Col. Rey Magdaluyo, Manila Police District Station 1 commander. 

The children tried to sell the bomb to a junkshop, whose owner turned it over to the police.
