3 slain in Cavite, Batangas

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three persons, including a drug suspect, were killed in separate gun attacks in Cavite and Batangas over the weekend.

Lamberto Tolentino was driving his jeepney when a passenger shot him several times while they were in Barangay Molino 4, Bacoor City, Saturday night.

In Batangas, Leandro Catapang was sleeping when an unidentified man barged into his house and shot him in Barangay Bagong Pook, Lemery town, yesterday before dawn.

Drug suspect Christian Borja was killed in a sting Saturday in Barangay Talaibon, Ibaan, Batangas.

P15-million marijuana seized

Meanwhile, police seized a total of P15 million dried marijuana following a sting that led to the arrest of four drug suspects along the provincial road in Barangay Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga late last week.

Arrested were Tinglayan, Kalinga residents Johoshaphat Agod, 23; Ganipis Baggas, 34; Joey, 28, and Cesar, 35, both surnamed Marngo. 

More than 100 kilos of marijuana leaves, stalks and bricks were recovered from the suspects as well as a caliber .45 pistol, a hand-held radio, a motorcycle and four cellular phones. – With Emmanuel Tupas, Raymund Catindig
