Fire breaks out in Manila; 2 hurt

MANILA, Philippines — Two persons were injured when a fire broke out at a residential area in Sampaloc, Manila on Saturday night.
One of the victims was identified as Abe Balani, 67, of Josefina street in Barangay 530.
Capt. Hector Agadulin of the Bureau of Fire Protection said an estimated P300,000 worth of property was destroyed by the blaze.
Agadulin said the fire started from a boarding house in the area.
Arson probers said a defective air-conditioning unit could have caused the fire.
