4 slain in drug stings

MANILA, Philippines — Four persons were killed in anti-drug operations in Nueva Ecija and Bulacan in the past two days.

Reports reaching Camp Olivas identified the fatalities in Nueva Ecija as Elvis Encarnacion, Michael Pasumala and Joselito Gonzales. They were killed in drug stings in Barangays Sta. Arcadia and San Josef Norte, both in Cabanatuan City, and Caanawan, San Jose City, respectively.

In Bulacan, Col. Chito Bersaluna said Ricardo Pacheco, alias Rigor, fired at police officers who posed as buyers of shabu in Barangay Gaya-Gaya, San Jose del Monte.
