4 vendors hurt as wall collapses

MANILA, Philippines — Four vendors were injured when a wall collapsed at a construction site in Barangay San Martin de Porres, Parañaque following heavy rains on Monday night.

Police said Ernesto Temosa, Felimon Calaglag, Evelyn Solares and Glenn Solares were taken to the South Superhighway Medical Center after they suffered injuries.

Prior to the incident, probers said the vendors were displaying their wares along PNR Road, which is adjacent to the construction site of RJM Construction Corp.

Residents in the area said the steel barriers eroded, causing the wall to cave in. 

Authorities are conducting investigation to determine the liability of the construction firm.
