22 arrested for drugs in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — Twenty-two persons were apprehended in separate anti-narcotics operations in Quezon City over the weekend. 

Four drug suspects allegedly yielded around P50,000 worth of shabu during a sting near a fast food chain along Don Antonio street in Barangay Greater Fairview on Saturday.

They were Joseph Guerrero, 28; Anjelica Bolos, 28; Raylene Sanchez, 44, and Juer Palermo, 48. 

Police said they confiscated from the suspects a Hyundai Santa Fe and the marked money. 

Operatives of the Masambong police arrested Jocelyn Arsayo, 32; Mary Cris Malones, 31; Dominador Arsayo, 57, and Darren Morales, for alleged shabu possession along Negros street in Barangay Sto. Kristo.

Six other drug suspects were nabbed by police in a sting in Barangay Pansol before dawn yesterday.

Ma. May Manlapiz, 44; Orly Gomez, 27; John Martin Lim, 27; Albert Enemenso, 25; John Rick Capon, and Jefferson Britanico, 23, were allegedly on the drug watchlist.

They allegedly yielded eight sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and the marked money. 

Other drug suspects were collared in Barangays Holy Spirit, Masambong, Vasra, Bagbag, UP Campus, Sacred Heart and Laging Handa.

The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
