Construction worker falls to death in QC

MANILA, Philippines — A steelman for the Skyway construction fell to his death in Quezon City early yesterday morning.

Probers identified the fatality as Carlito Corpuz, 32.

Corpuz, a stay-in employee at the Garcia Building along Araneta Avenue in Barangay Talayan, was found dead and slumped on the pavement by a co-worker at past 5 a.m.

A witness told police that Corpuz was last seen alive at around midnight by his co-workers.

Police said an investigation would be conducted to determine if there was foul play.

The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City police.
