Bus collides with tricycle in Isabela; 2 dead

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — Two persons died when a Florida bus bound for Manila collided with a tricycle along the highway in Barangay Guibang, Gamu, Isabela yesterday.

The driver of the tricycle, Eric Bagauisan, and his passenger Jhong Madayag died at the scene.

Police said the bus driver, Rohmar Agcaoili, was overtaking another vehicle on a curved portion of the highway when the accident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. He surrendered to responding police officers.

Another passenger, Renato Gallato, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
