3 caught with P6.8-M shabu in Manila
MANILA, Philippines — Three suspected drug dealers were apprehended during a sting that yielded P6.8 million worth of shabu in Sta. Ana, Manila before dawn yesterday.
Mark Anthony Alcantara, Rona Valenzuela and an alias Rudy Kidlat were nabbed in a car parked along Osmeña Highway by operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Manila Police District Station 6.
Police said they recovered at least one kilo of shabu from the suspects.
NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said the suspects’ arrest came after a month-long surveillance.
Eleazar said the suspects were members of a Chinese and Muslim drug ring operating in Metro Manila and Cavite.
Police said the suspects were allegedly responsible for supplying drugs to street-level pushers.
Eleazar said they were tracking down the other members of the group.
