P6.8-M shabu seized in Manila sting
MANILA, Philippines — Four suspected drug dealers were arrested and P6.8 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu were seized by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents at a hotel in Manila on Monday.
PDEA chief Aaron Aquino said about a kilo of shabu was seized in the sting at the Midland Plaza Hotel at around 5:30 p.m.
Talicop Saipoding Pumbaya, Mahdi Sodeit Salic, Maromaya Johary Mamocrao and Sultan Saipoden Alnao reportedly sold shabu concealed in a transparent bag marked as Guanyinwang Tea to a PDEA operative posing as a drug buyer, Aquino said.
In Valenzuela, Rommel Pelayo, April Ballesteros and Roman Bardonado were arrested in a sting in Bignay with two sachets of shabu before dawn yesterday.
In Navotas, fisherman Armando Santos was caught carrying a sachet of shabu in Barangay Tangos South.
Sandra Morta, Samuel Lopez, Archie Camero, Marvin Veloso and Ranelo dela Cruz were arrested in a drug session at a house in Barangay 185, Caloocan City.
