Crame to implement own number coding scheme

Romina Cabrera - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) is set to implement a vehicle reduction program at its national headquarters in Camp Crame.

The coding scheme, which will follow the restrictions under the Unified Vehicular Reduction Program (UVRP) will be in place effective Monday.

The car ban is expected to ease parking woes experienced daily by PNP personnel and the public conducting official business at the national police headquarters.

The scheme will be implemented on weekdays just like the UVRP but will be enforced from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Camp Crame personnel which have designated parking slots are exempted from the coding scheme.

Other vehicles exempted from the carban are marked vehicles of the PNP and Armed Forces of the Philippines, government vehicles, vehicles with diplomatic plates, marked media vehicles and cars carrying persons needing medical attention.
