Tondo bettor wins P210 million jackpot

MANILA, Philippines — A bettor from Tondo, Manila won the P210-million Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot drawn on Monday night, according to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

The lone winner, who placed the bet at a lotto outlet along Hermosa street in Tondo, picked the winning combination 02-04-06-08-24-01.

The draw had a total prize of P210,795,849.60.

But the winner will not take home the entire pot as lotto winnings above P10,000 are subjected to a 20 percent tax or an estimated P42 million.

The PCSO said 132 bettors won a consolation prize of P12,050 each.

The Grand Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
